🌟 Transforming Value-Based Care Together 🌟Did you know nearly 70% of Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs) are navigating the healthcare landscape without the participation of Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs) in co-managing patients? This is a pivotal gap that cannot be overlooked, especially when aiming to enhance patient outcomes and optimize value-based care.I'm inspired by the insights shared in a recent article from Skilled Nursing News, which sheds light on the very challenges we are dedicated to solving. It's a must-read for anyone committed to advancing value-based care models and underscores the critical need for a modern approach to enhanced collaboration across healthcare.Let's open a dialogue if your organization is among the 70% of ACOs seeking to elevate your patients inside post-acute levels of care. Together, we can redefine healthcare standards, ensuring every patient journey is as seamless and supported as possible. #valuebasedcare #acos #skillednursing #skillednursingfacility #olio

I’m glad that CMS has already received over 7,000 comments regarding the #StaffingMandates that were issued recently. This is a very important matter and it’s imperative all voices are heard. While we can all agree that the ultimate goal is to improve care outcomes and patient safety, we must be sure we are doing so in an obtainable way. There are not enough employees for hire in the #SeniorCare space, as we’ve witnessed facilities struggle with staffing challenges for years. As a result of the mandates as they stand, some facilities may be forced to close to avoid penalties if staffing requirements cannot be met. This could disproportionately impact vulnerable populations in rural communities where resources are more scarce.I encourage all providers and stakeholders in #healthcare to voice their opinions before the Nov. 6th deadline. Together, we can work to create positive, sustainable change in the way we deliver care.#HealthEquity

As managed care plans become more and more relevant to the nursing home industry, it appears MA beneficiaries are experiencing less favorable outcomes, while using less post-acute care services than those on traditional fee-for-service Medicare. https://bit.ly/3QNwlv6

On October 1, 2019, the skilled nursing industry experienced the change in Medicare Part A payment methodology from the Resource Utilization Groups (RUGs) based payment to a patient driven payment model, or PDPM. The PDPM included implementation of Section GG of the Minimum Data Set (MDS).#clapromise #snf #mds
